Commenting and reacting within documents
To work well together, it is helpful if you can comment on each other's work. In Docfield, this can be done by commenting at block level, where you can respond to content blocks. You can comment on editable texts, choice parts, tables, appendices, and also on fixed texts. The latter is useful, for example, if there is an error in the fixed text, and you want to inform an administrator about it.
Comments on text block
1. To comment, click on the text cloud to the right of a text block.
2. You can mention (tag) other users in the document by typing the @ sign followed by that person's name. The named persons will then receive an e-mail notification of the comment.
3. After writing comments, click the blue icon to send the comment.
Posted comments appear on the right-hand side of the document. For chapters with open comments, a comment icon also appears in the left navigation (as shown below), giving you a quick overview.
Comments on specific text part
1. Use your mouse to select a specific part of the text, as shown in the image below.
2. Then click on the text cloud to the right of the text part to add comments on this specific phrase. The relevant phrase is now shown above the comment. Click the blue icon to send the comment.
Resolving responses
When responses are handled, it is nice not to have them in view anymore, but still stored in Docfield. Therefore, you can 'resolve' them by clicking the check mark. The responses then move to 'resolved responses', but can still be retrieved. Resolved reactions are also no longer on the left in the document navigation
Resolve a response:
1. Click the check mark to resolve a reaction.
Restore resolved responses:
1. Click on the text cloud at the top of the navigation bar and click on "Show resolved comments"
2. Click the same check mark for resolving comments, but now to restore a resolved comment.
