Commenting and reacting within documents

To work well with others, it is very helpful to be able to comment on each other's work. In OER Write, this can be done by commenting at the block level, where you can comment on all content blocks. You can comment on editable texts, choice parts, tables, appendices, and also on fixed texts. The latter is useful, for example, if there is an error in the fixed text, and you want to inform an administrator about it.

It is possible to name (tag) other users in the document by typing the @ sign, followed by the name of this person. The named persons will then receive an e-mail notification of the comment. The picture below here will show an example.

Posted comments appear on the right side of the document. For chapters with open comments, a comment icon also appears in the left navigation, so you can quickly get the overview. You can find an example below this text.

Resolving Responses

When responses are closed, it is preferable to not have them on the screen anymore, but they still have them stored in OER Write. That is why you can 'resolve' them. The responses are then moved to 'solved responses', but can be retrieved again. Resolved responses will also no longer appear in the document navigation in the left tab.
