Inviting writers and commentators
One of the great advantages of Docfield is that multiple people can work on the same document online and comment at the same time.
When inviting new users, you can enter the email addresses of new users. Existing users can also be added by name.
Permissions on Document level
Users can be invited to a single document in the following way:
1. Open the document in which you want to invite someone.
2. Click the "Share" button at the top right of the document. To the left of this button, you can see which people already have access to the document.
3. In the pop-up, enter the e-mail address of the person you want to invite. If the person is already known in Docfield,
you can also enter the name. Also choose which right the person gets (full access, edit, comment or read). Keep in mind; people without a Docfield account yet, will be invited as guests and cannot have full access.
Click the blue "Send invite" button to invite a person.
4. The invited person will receive an email to access the document.
Permissions on Folder level
Users can also be added at the folder level and can then edit, comment or read (depending on their permissions) all documents in the immediate folder and underlying folders.
Inviting a user at folder level is done as follows:
1. In Docfield's document environment, click on the folder for which you want to invite someone. Click on share at the top right.
2. Enter the e-mail address of the person you want to invite. Select the permissions you give to the invited person (full access, edit, comment, read). If necessary, add a message to the invitation and click the blue "Send Invite" button. Keep in mind; people without a Docfield account yet, will be invited as guests and cannot have full access.
Note: Only owners and users with full acces can invite others.
