Sign in to the Docfield App with SURFconext

Welcome! In this guide, we explain how your organization can connect to Docfield using SURFconext. Follow the steps below to set up Single Sign-On (SSO) quickly and safely.

SURFconext has an IdP Dashboard. Here you can find all the apps connected to SURFconext. Docfield has made two apps available:  

- For production, use the Docfield Production App.  

- For the test environment, use the Docfield Staging App.

You can find the right app by using the links or by typing "Docfield" in the dashboard. Then click "Sign in" or "Connect" to send a request to connect. During this process, you fill in the requested details, like the IT admin’s email address.

When we receive your request, the Docfield support team gets a notification from SURFconext. We usually confirm your request within one workday. We will contact you when everything is ready, so you can test the connection.

How long does it take before the connection is active?

Usually within one workday after your request is confirmed.

What data does SURFconext share with Docfield?

SURFconext only shares the data needed to log in to Docfield:

- Your name (so other users can see who you are)

- Your email address (to recognize you as a unique user in your organization)

- A unique code (EduPerson targeted ID) so you are recognized worldwide as a user

This data is only used according to the privacy policy.
